About us

ABOUT US

The club is run by volunteers and boasts a shop “Greenfingers” that opens for business every Saturday between 11.00am and 2.00pm.

We sell sundries, composts, lawn sand and all garden accessories at very competitive prices. We are a non-profit making organisation all our prices are very competitive. Free advice from seasoned gardeners is always on hand. We also organise 2 flower shows per year in June and September to encourage people to grow and exhibit vegetables, flowers and crafts in a competition. Categories will be published well in advance for each show.

We have plant sales throughout the summer – at a fraction of the cost of plants available in the local garden centres, and arguably better quality. Allotment holders also offer surplus vegetables for sale for which we only ask for a small donation to the Garden Club which will go towards the upkeep of the shop, or towards social events.

Activities (free to members)

- Twice yearly flower shows
- 7 social nights throughout the year with a guest speaker on a variety of subjects which are always interesting and make for an enjoyable evening.
- Summer and winter barbecues, with food provided and cooked for you by experts. Free to members. The shop will be open for business at these events should you need any supplies.
